Pluck Helps eBay Enthusiasts Find Needle in the Haystack; Free Web Browser Companion Application Adds Custom RSS Feeds That Search for eBay Listings

AUSTIN, Texas -- Pluck Corp., a software company dedicated to making it easier to find and manage Internet information, today unveiled new capabilities to its web browser companion application that help buyers quickly search the eBay marketplace and share items of interest with their family and friends. The newest version of the Pluck application, which integrates with Microsoft Internet Explorer, is available for free and can be downloaded from http://www.ebay.com/advancedsolutions/ or www.pluck.com.

"Helping eBay users find exactly what they want from the millions of available listings is a point of emphasis for Pluck," said Dave Panos, CEO of Pluck Corp. "For example, our new Auction Scout feature continuously searches eBay and uses RSS technology to notify buyers when new listings come on-line that meet their specific criteria."

--Interactively slice-and-dice hundreds of eBay listings in a single window. Pluck Power Search allows users to search, sort and filter results and view them all in a "double-pane view," similar to what a user sees in Microsoft Outlook. This allows buyers to quickly scan search results and find the items they need. Users can instantly sort hundreds of results by bid count, price, or time remaining. Filters can also be applied to further pinpoint items of interest.

--Continuously retrieve new item listings. Pluck's new Auction Scout feature continuously searches the eBay marketplace for new listings that meet the specific interests of any eBay buyer. Users are notified when these listings appear and item summaries are delivered via Pluck's RSS Reader. With just one-click the user can then visit the live page on the eBay site.

--Collaboratively review listings. Pluck Sharing allows users to easily create "active" folders and invite family members or friends to view and add listings and comments. Whenever a new web page is added to the folder, everyone automatically receives the update. This feature is perfect for collaborative purchases on big-ticket items, such as automobiles, computers and electronics.
