How to RSS

<p>Depending on who you talk to, RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication. It’s just a way of syndicating your work on your website, and more people are doing this every day. The actually technical aspects of setting up RSS feed is different for every browser, so you should search the internet for directions on each one. However, here are some basic ways to use the technology for productive RSS.

Means to an End
Many people use RSS to boost search engine rankings. You do this by adding RSS to your blogs, which not only increases your exposure but give potential readers or customers a verbal input as well as visual.

The RSS Press Release
This is one way you can do your part to reduce email spam. Don’t send out mass emails to potential customers, send RSS material to people who are interested. For instance, if you have added a product line, include this information in your next RSS production that you send to customers.

Advertising--Beyond Pay Per Click Marketing
If you need a way to let customers know about company news, put it in a regular and productive RSS distribution. That way you keep your name in front of them more often and they know what you have when. This is especially effective for online auction sellers, since you can alert people when a specific product comes in that they wanted.
