The Hitwise To Go, RSS-based service, has been launched for academics and journalists by Hitwise, an online competitive intelligence service.
Hitwise said the service will provide regular updates of online consumer activity and statistics. It confirmed that the published data will incorporate industry topics such as the growth of new websites, current events, recent search trends, the affect of web 2.0 technologies and websites which are popular with certain social groups or demographics.
The Hitwise To Go service can be accessed at http://weblogs.hitwise.com/to-go-uk and through the Hitwise Analyst Weblogs, with an RSS feed making data points available to users as they are published. Hitwise said the service will operate in the UK, US and Asia Pacific markets.
According to Hitwise, the new service enables the company to share Internet usage data with the wider online community instantly.
