Fujifilm introduces RSS newsfeed

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A Really Simple Syndication (RSS) newsfeed service has been introduced on the UK website of Fujifilm, an imaging technology, products and services company.

The newsfeed is intended to improve and simplify the company's communications with its customers and with the media. It will enable information about Fujifilm's newest products and services to be delivered directly to the user's desktop, without the need to search the website or rely on e-mail news alerts.

Fujifilm is the first photography company to offer the RSS service, which works by feeding news from the sites chosen by the user into a software-based news reader or a web-based desktop interface. Fujifilm said this will enable subscribers to be kept up to date with the company's latest product news, 24/7 in real-time, giving them the choice of receiving information about the company when they choose.

The service is available free of charge through http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/presscentre.
