The use of technology communication tools such as blogs, viral video and the future of technology public relations are just a few of the topics on the agenda at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Technology Section annual conference on Tuesday, June 19, at the Reuters Conference Center, Three Times Square, New York. The all-day conference begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. The conference is presented in cooperation with the PRSA New York Chapter.

The conference keynote session will feature Patrick Hanlon, author, Primal Branding, and CEO, Thinktopia. Hanlon was creative director for many years at agencies such as TBWA, Ogilvy, Hal Riney & Partners and worked on a variety of famous brands, including Absolut, UPS, Disney, General Motors and Nickleodeon. He's been a guest writer for ADWEEK and his ads have been featured in Communication Arts, The One Show, Archive, Advertising Age and more. After serving on the management boards and executive levels of major advertising agencies, Hanlon realized that there might be better and more efficient ways to create ideas for clients and in 2003, he founded Thinktopia with the notion that "the idea business needed a better idea about how to do business."
